Corn and Soybean producers wanting to learn more about latest crop production practices are invited to a workshop at the courthouse in Neligh on December 17.
UNL Extension Specialists and Educators will discuss cropping systems related to biofuel production, residue management and equipment considerations, corn/soybean diseases, growing crops for biofuel production, crop production costs, and the value of crop residues.
Presenters include Robert Klein, and Paul Jasa, UNL Extension Specialists; John Hay, UNL Extension Educator; and Loren Isom, Nebraska Industrial Ag Products Center. Ryan Coleman, FSA CED will discuss current FSA program activity including the current disaster program signup.
Participants can get the following CCA credits by attending this workshop. Crop Management - 2.5, Soil & Water - 2.0, Pest Management - 0.5.

Cow and Pasture Tips Workshop
Cow-calf producers who would like to learn new and updated information related to beef production and pasture management are invited to a workshop in Neligh on December 6. The meeting will begin at 2:00 pm in the supervisor’s room of the courthouse.
UNL Extension specialists and educators will discuss pasture management, feeding corn co-products to beef cattle, and cow-calf production ideas. Dr. Bruce Anderson, UNL Extension Specialist, Denny Bauer and Gary Stauffer, UNL Extension Educators will be the presenters for this workshop.
